I have read the Aftermath section which only tells about the Dakota. The white settlers also experienced tremendous hardship, many times losing their homes and all of their possessions. In Renville County, most had to leave their homesteads, never to return. Rebuilding their lives was difficult as many of the survivors were widows and orphans. This section should add information about these settlers.
