I would like to have seen representation from Renville County which had more settlers killed and captured during the war than any other county in Minnesota--about 153 killed and 70 settlers and 50 mixed-bloods captured. In Flora Township alone, an estimated 73 were killed at their homes or when fleeing, 90% of the settlers living there.
