Professor of Dakota Language at the University of Minnesota, C̣aƞtemaza Ironheart (Neil McKay) will provide a philosophical and historical overview of the Dakota language. With only a handful of Dakota speakers left in Minnesota, C̣aƞtemaza will discuss why it is important to preserve this indigenous language.
