"Interesting Aspects of the Dakota Uprising"

Fort Ridgely, Fairfax, Curt Dahlin, an independent historian, will share his research of the U.S.-Dakota War of 1862 in the Fort Ridgely Historic Site Commissary. Using a PowerPoint program Mr. Dahlin will show the tragic and catastrophic events of 1862 including the frustrations many of the Dakota felt which led to the actions they took against the settlers. Mr. Dahlin will cover the beginning of the War in August 1862 and continue to the years when the Dakota returned to Minnesota. Copies of Curt's books will be available for sale before and after his presentation.
